Belmond City Council Sets Monday Meeting Agenda

The Belmond City Council will meet Monday, Nov. 17. The agenda includes several consent items, including approval of the resignation of Police Officer Lucas Kleckner.

In new business, the council will consider approving a bond counsel engagement agreement with Ahlers & Cooney for the city’s 2025 general obligation capital loan notes. Members will also act on Resolution 2025-30, which sets a public meeting date for authorizing up to $2.4 million in general obligation loan notes.

The council will review an agreement with Chosen Valley Testing for geotechnical evaluation work tied to the Wastewater Treatment Facility Improvement Project. Resolution 2025-31, the city’s fiscal 2025 annual financial report, will also be considered.

The meeting begins at 7 p.m. at Belmond City Hall.
