The Aplington-Parkersburg School Board met Monday.

During Superintendent Travis Fleshner’s report, he shared that the certified enrollment is down 18.95 students, shared the general obligation bond results, discussed a potential high school track resurfacing project with estimates, and discussed a possible high school softball sharing agreement with Dike-New Hartford due to low numbers.

Among action items, they approved School Budget Review Committee requests for special education administrative costs associated with the River Hills Consortium program and the Lied Center Consortium program. They also approved a When I Grow Up (WIGU) Agreement for the 2025-26 school year. This is a no cost program designed to help assist and connect students with businesses, helping them gain access to jobs and career opportunities.

The next meeting will be for the annual, organization and regular board meetings on Monday, December 15 at 5:30 p.m. at the high school.
