Governor Kim Reynolds has announced the launch of IAppoint, a new online platform designed to modernize how Iowans apply to serve on state boards and commissions. The system replaces Talent Bank, which has been in place since 2018.

The Governor’s Office makes appointments on a rolling basis to more than 180 boards covering areas such as education, healthcare and public safety. By law, these boards must reflect political balance, geographic diversity and a wide range of backgrounds. Applicants’ information is kept on file as public record for future service opportunities.

IAppoint was developed by the Governor’s Office in partnership with the Department of Management, the Department of Information Technology, and Des Moines-based Webspec. The updated system features advanced search options, appointment notifications and up-to-date board membership information.
