The Hardin County Holiday Helpers are gearing up for their annual Toys for Tots event and are asking for donations and volunteers this holiday season.
The countywide event will be held Saturday morning, December 13, at Bethany Lutheran Church in Iowa Falls and will include breakfast and activities for the whole family. Parents can pick out new, unwrapped or gently used toys for their children, with free gift wrapping available.
At the same time, a Kids Christmas Zone at the church will offer activities that focus on the meaning of Christmas, and kids will be able to pick out and wrap a gift for their parents.
Donation boxes for new or gently used toys are set up around Hardin County. Monetary donations can be mailed to Hardin County Holiday Helpers at 1504 3rd Street Place, Eldora, Iowa 50627. Donations of toys, winter items, and gift wrap can be dropped off at Bethany Lutheran Church in Iowa Falls or Greenbelt Home Care in Eldora.
