The Hardin County Board of Supervisors reviewed several key matters Wednesday, focusing on tax credits, board appointments, infrastructure permits and regulatory reviews. Supervisors approved the 2025 homestead, nonstandard homestead, and military tax credits and exemptions—an action that will require extensive signature processing.
Significant changes were made to the Board of Health, with the resignations of Aaron Budwig and Sean Davis accepted. The board appointed Connie Perry to an unexpired term ending in December 2027 and John Lynn to a term running through December 2025, while noting that one vacancy remains and will require a future appointment.
Infrastructure and utility projects also moved forward. The board approved the fiscal year 2025 Urban Renewal Report, Utility Permit UT 2025-27 for a directional bore on County Highway S-75, and Utility Permit UT 2025-28 for temporary transformer installation and overhead electric service in Jackson Township.
Additionally, supervisors acknowledged the 2025 city/school post-election audit and an animal feeding operation construction permit for the South Tipton Ridge site, where well capacity issues are being addressed.
