Several local musicians were selected to take part in the 2025 Iowa High School Music Association All-State Festival on November 20-22 hosted by Iowa State University.
Local vocal selections included:
Aplington-Parkersburg: Sierra Sessler – Soprano 2, Emily Story – Alto 1, Lindy Aswegen – Tenor 1, Jonah Carney – Tenor 2, Elliot Bieber – Bass 1
Hampton-Dumont-CAL: James Chambers – Bass 1
Grundy Center: Ava Warrior – Soprano 1, Ella Brekunitch – Soprano 2, Emma Lamp – Alto 1, Riah Schrage – Alto 2, Lincoln Lewis – Tenor 2, Brandon Mills – Bass 1, Oliver Del Castillo – Bass 1
Dike-New Hartford: Olivia Klingenborg – Alto 1 and Anthony Bering – Bass 1
Local band selection included:
Hampton-Dumont-CAL: Joseph Cruz – Baritone Saxophone
The festival concert will air on Iowa PBS on Thursday (Thanksgiving Day) at 7:00 p.m. and Monday, December 8 at 8:00 p.m. This program and past festival concerts will be available on demand at iowapbs.org/shows/musicfestival
