State Treasurer Roby Smith is encouraging Iowans to consider contributions to IAble accounts as a meaningful holiday gift for individuals with disabilities.
IAble, the state’s Achieving a Better Life Experience plan, allows account owners and their support networks to save for qualified expenses while maintaining eligibility for essential benefits.
Smith says giving to an IAble account is a way for family and friends to support long-term independence and improve the quality of life for people with disabilities. Any Iowa taxpayer may deduct up to $5,800 in contributions per account from their 2025 state income taxes.
More information and updates are available through the treasurer’s social media pages.
