First Bank Hampton has been named the winner of Hampton’s fourth annual food drive competition, topping a field that included Koerner-Whipple Pharmacy, KLMJ RadioOntheGo, First Security Bank & Trust and the Hampton Chronicle.
This year’s event carried the theme, “Life can be all fun and games unless you are hungry,” highlighting the importance of supporting residents facing food insecurity. First Bank Hampton filled every donation box in its lobby and contributed an additional $100 to the local food pantry.
To thank the community for its involvement, the bank held a drawing for a $50 Fareway gift card. Kathleen Krause was selected as this year’s winner.
“We are grateful to everyone who participated and helped make a tangible difference. This achievement highlights the strength and compassion of our community. We are excited to continue this tradition of giving and friendly competition in the years ahead,” said Tyler Heeren, president and CEO of First Bank Hampton.
The annual food drive competition continues to show what can be accomplished when the community rallies behind a shared cause.
First Bank Hampton also remains a drop-off location for the Franklin REC “Full Shelves, Full Hearts” food drive. Donations will be accepted through Dec. 22.
