
The AP-GC boys wrestling team began its season by going 2-1 at a home quad Thursday.
They fell to Union 43-35. In the dual, they got three wins by forfeit. Devan Eberhart won a technical fall at 144, Gage Miller got a pin at 150, Maison Copp won by fall at 215, rounding out the wins.
They defeated North Tama 61-14. They got pins by Johnny Moen at 113 and Miller at 150. Zion Uhlenhopp at 120 and Devan Eberhart at 144 won tech falls. Creyton Eberhart won a 6-5 decision at 175.
In a 49-30 win over Vinton-Shellsburg, the Falcons got pins by Devan Eberhart at 144, Miller at 150, Parker Mulder at 165, Mason Pruisner at 190, Copp at 215 and Chevy Richardson at 285. Uhlenhopp won a 9-2 sudden victory at 120, and Creyton Eberhart won an 11-1 major decision at 175.
They’ll next compete Saturday at a tournament at Saint Ansgar.
