
The Clarion-Goldfield-Dows Community School Board will meet Thursday morning for its organizational session followed by its regular December meeting.
The retiring board will convene at 7 a.m. to approve the agenda, review election results and formally adjourn. Immediately afterward, the newly elected board will be called to order. Members will take the oath of office and select a board president and vice president. The board will also appoint a treasurer and secretary, approve 2026 committee assignments, designate the district’s official newspaper, approve the school attorney and set bank depository limits and authorized signatures.
New business items include action on three School Budget Review Committee applications, approval of the FY27 building principal plan and a discussion on gym use under Policy 508.02.
The board will also consider the first reading of several board policies related to committees, equal opportunity, student substance use, emergency plans, school nutrition and radon mitigation. A request for a high school choir overnight trip will also be reviewed.
The meeting is set to begin at 7 a.m. at the CGD district office.

UPDATE: As of Dec. 9 at 11:15 a.m., the Clarion Goldfield-Dows School Board has changed their meeting date from Thursday, Dec. 11 to Friday, Dec. 12. Currently, the meeting is still scheduled to begin at 7 a.m.
