
Hampton-Dumont-CAL placed third with 95 points and AP/GC was fourth with 88 points at Tuesday’s Go-Hawk Girls Invitational wrestling tournament at Waverly-Shell Rock.
AP/GC’s Jocelyn Freed was the champion at 130, pinning her way to the title with only one match entering the second period. Grace Storjohann placed second at 120, falling to Erica Irvine of Don Bosco in a 10-7 decision in the championship match. Caylee Harken was second at 140, going 2-1 in a round robin weight class. Zoey Uhlenhopp placed second at 155. She went 2-1 in a round robin class.
Hampton-Dumont-CAL’s Juliette Koch was the champion at 155, going 3-0 in the round robin weight class. Avalon Mulford won the 235 bracket with two pins and a decision. Elsie Kuper placed second at 170. After a first round bye, she won her semifinal match by fall and was pinned in the final. Maren Subbert placed second at 190, going 1-1 in a round robin weight class.
