AGWSR, BCLUW-SH will visit Union for a wrestling triangular Thursday

The AGWSR and BCLUW-South Hardin girls and boys wrestling teams will compete in a triangular at Union on Thursday.

For the AGWSR girls this will be their first duals of the season. This will be the Cougars first event since the South Tama Invite on November 20th, the Cougars finished in 11th place with 63 points. Donaly Garcia is 4-1 at 105. Brooklynn Simons is 4-1 at 190. 

BCLUW-South Hardin girls (8-1) went 3-1 at the BGM Duals with wins over Colfax-Mingo, Gilbert and Marshalltown and lost to Iowa City Liberty on Saturday. Taya Hollingsworth is 10-2 at 155. Megyn Hollingsworth is 10-3 at 170. 

Union girls (1-2) and had their triangular against Lisbon and Columbus Community held off due to the weather on Tuesday. Austin Kirby is 10-5 at 105 and 110. Alexus Umbaugh is 12-7 at 120 and 125. 

AGWSR boys (0-6) went 0-4 at the Jesup Duals with losses to Clear Lake, Iowa Valley, Lake Mills and Iowa City Regina on Saturday. Jariyah Bowles is 3-3. Dakota Johnson is 3-1 at 175. 

BCLUW-South Hardin boys (2-1) had wins over Columbus Catholic and East Marshall/Meskwaki and lost to West Marshall on Thursday, December 4. Beau Towne is 3-0 at 165 with two falls and a major decision. The Storm have three wrestlers that are 2-1 including Regan Eide at 113, Garett Bruner at 126 and Cash Guiles at 190. 

Union boys (3-0) finished in 21st place with 133 points at the Cliff Keen Invite at Independence on Saturday. In dual action, the Knights had wins over AP-GC, North Tama and Vinton-Shellsburg on Thursday, December 4. Coy Mehlert is 9-0 at 120. Brock Bergmeier is 8-1 at 165.
