The AP/GC boys wrestling team will join Don Bosco and Woodward-Granger for a quad at East Marshall Thursday. It’ll air on 99 The Wave and RadioOnTheGo’s YouTube channel.
Coming off a 2-1 outing at a home quad last week, the Falcons will bring momentum into the duals. A key strength, according to Head Coach Joel Reints, is the ability to fill a lineup, which has been hard to come by in recent seasons.
“We got the first thing kind of settled, we got the numbers up to where we can cover all our weight classes and we can move guys around because we have backups that are capable varsity wrestlers,” Reints says. “If we feel we need to bump someone up a weight class to get a better matchup, we can slide someone in and take advantage of that as well. So like I said, I just feel pretty fortunate. I don’t think a lot of schools our size have that ability from a numbers standpoint.”
Devan Eberhart at 144 and Gage Miller at 150 are each off to 3-0 starts to their seasons.
Don Bosco will compete in its first duals, having participated in last week’s Dan Gable Donnybrook Tournament. East Marshall is 0-3 and Woodward-Granger is 5-0.
Coverage will start at 5:45 p.m., followed by the first dual at 6:00.
