Hampton-Dumont-CAL and Clarion-Goldfield-Dows will travel to Webster City for a North Central Conference wrestling triangular Thursday.
Clarion-Goldfield-Dows Head Coach Cory Yoder says it’s the start of an intense December dual schedule.
“We’re going to see some of our conference schools, the tough Hampton-Dumont-CAL team will be coming and Webster City, we’ll take on them in our first dual meet,” Yoder says. “Then we’re going to go to AP’s tournament. We’re going to see Don Bosco for sure. They’re going to be loaded. They’ve got almost seven state champs coming back. The Algona and the Hampton ones are the ones that we’re looking forward to.”
The Cowboys had four podium finishers at the Cliff Keen Independence Invitational on Saturday to begin the season.
Hampton-Dumont-CAL enters 0-1, having been defeated by Lake Mills in the opening dual. Webster City is 1-2 with a win over Carroll and losses to Pleasant Valley and Boone.
It’ll start at 6:00 p.m.
