The West Fork boys wrestling team returns to action Thursday when it travels to Northwood for the Top of Iowa Duals. The Warhawks will compete in a quad against Eagle Grove, Nashua-Plainfield and Northwood-Kensett.

The Warhawks last wrestled Dec. 4 in a triangular with West Hancock and St. Ansgar, dropping both duals 50-18 and 51-21, respectively.

Individually, Bradynn Hennick and Andrew Baker picked up wins. Hennick won by fall, and Baker won by decision. Jensen Robbins had a close match that went the distance before losing 9-6 by decision.

Despite the slow start, Head Coach Keaton Wilson says he expects the team to take steps forward as the season progresses.

“I look for us to make some movement this year from where we were last year for sure,” says Wilson. “Up a few spots in the duals and as well as in just in general in the conference tournament and like turn some heads and make other schools understand that we aren’t that our boys are coming ready to roll to the best that they can.”

The duals begin at 6 p.m.
