The Iowa Falls-Alden basketball teams will travel to Webster City on Tuesday for a North Central Conference doubleheader.

The Cadet girls (1-3) are coming off a 58-31 loss to St. Edmond. Elody England leads Iowa Falls-Alden in scoring, averaging nearly 15 points per game.

The Webster City girls (2-2) enter the matchup following a 36-32 loss to Hampton-Dumont-CAL. Evie Davis leads the Lynx in scoring at 11.5 points per game.

The Cadet boys (1-2) are coming off an 85-46 loss to St. Edmond. Karson Kalous leads the team in scoring and assists, while Collin Pieper leads Iowa Falls-Alden in rebounding. As Kalous and Pieper help establish the offense, Head Coach Mike Holm says confidence from players off the bench will be important moving forward.

“Right now it’s just confidence,” says Holm. “We just lack any kind of confidence there. They’re not sure, they’re thinking before they’re playing and, and you know, we’ll get past that. It’s just, it’s just going to come with playing games and I think if we do that we’ll be better by far after Christmas once they feel comfortable with what they’re doing.”

The Webster City boys (0-1) will be seeking their first win of the season after a 47-46 loss to Hampton-Dumont-CAL. Coyce Betran leads the Lynx in scoring.

The doubleheader is scheduled to tip off at 6 p.m. at the Webster City High School Competition Gym.

The Iowa Falls-Alden wrestling teams will also be in action Tuesday. The Cadet girls will travel to Humboldt to compete in the Michelle Jensen Invitational, which will feature 14 teams. The meet is scheduled to begin at 5 p.m. at Humboldt High School.

The Cadet boys will be on the road at Clear Lake for a triangular against the Lions and St. Edmond. The meet is scheduled to begin at 6 p.m. at the Clear Lake Middle School.
