Franklin Rural Electric Cooperative has announced the winners of its 2025 Light Up the Night lighted float contest.
First place was awarded to St. Paul’s Lutheran School of Latimer, while second place went to First Bank Hampton.
Franklin REC says challenging weather conditions limited opportunities for residents to view the floats in person this year. To ensure participants’ efforts were still recognized, the cooperative hosted online voting through Facebook, allowing the public to view photos of the floats and vote for their favorites.
Franklin REC thanked participating businesses, organizations and individuals, as well as community members who took part in the online voting, for helping spread holiday cheer throughout the area.
