The Iowa Department of Education has released new district-level Iowa School Performance Profiles, and the Dike–New Hartford Community School District earned a “high performing” rating.

According to the Department of Education, the new district-level ratings compile performance data from individual school buildings and evaluate districts using the same categories applied at the school level, including exceptional, high performing, commendable, acceptable, needs improvement and priority

Dike–New Hartford earned a high performing rating with a score of 73.53%, or 661.78 points. The statewide average was 63.28%.

The addition of district-level ratings is part of Iowa’s unified accountability and school improvement system and is intended to improve transparency and align with national best practices. The ratings measure factors such as student achievement, growth, attendance, postsecondary readiness and graduation rates.

More information about the Iowa School Performance Profiles is available through the Iowa Department of Education.
