The Hampton-Dumont School Board this week approved board goal statements as presented. During a workshop session with the Iowa Association of School Boards in September, the H-D Board and administrative team engaged in a goal-review process to evaluate and refine the district’s strategic priorities. Through the work, the board reaffirmed its commitment to the key areas of Student Opportunity, Relationships, Financial Stewardship and Facilities.
In other business, the H-D School Board approved an early resignation stipend. An individual would receive $1,500 if a resignation is submitted to the district office by January 23rd, $1,000 if submitted by February 6th, or $500 if submitted by February 20th.
The board also approved a contract with Pro Wall Construction to expand storage space in the south hallway adjacent to the new competition gym. Additionally, it approved a quote from Ideal Flooring in the amount of $51,730 to remove and replace carpeting in the high school band room, media center and office.
