AP/GC was the champion, six area schools earn medalists at Iowa Falls-Alden Girls Wrestling Tournament Friday

AP/GC was the team champion with 190 points at the Iowa Falls-Alden Girls Wrestling Tournament on Friday. Also in the team competition, BCLUW-South Hardin placed third, Iowa Falls-Alden was fourth, Hampton-Dumont-CAL was fifth, North Butler-Clarksville placed eighth, West Fork finished ninth and AGWSR was 12th. 

AP/GC’s Grace Storjohann was the champion at 120. Lila Reints finished second at 145. AP/GC had five wrestlers place third including Kylee Babcock at 125, Ellie Reints at 135, Zoey Uhlenhopp at 155, Queveah Books at 190 and Kathryn Patrick at 235. 

BCLUW-South Hardin had three champions including Hailee Robinson at 105, Ceanna White at 135 and Taya Hollingsworth at 155. The Storm also had four runner-ups including Layla Price at 100, Megyn Hollingsworth at 170, Kaitlyn Dickes finished at 190 and Adrienne Caster at 235.

Iowa Falls-Alden had three runner-ups including Kymri Koenigfeld at 125, Brooklyn Gehling at 130 and Aubree Silvey at 135. The Cadets had two wrestlers place third including Sami Harms at 110 and Ivy Sanders at 120.

Hampton-Dumont-CAL had two champions Maren Subbert at 190 and Avalon Mulford at 235. Juliette Koch finished second at 155. Elsie Kuper placed third at 170.

North Butler-Clarksville’s top finisher was Cate Lodge who was second at 110. 

West Fork’s top finishers were Josi Janssen who was second at 140 and Jenny Ramirez who finished in third place at 145.

AGWSR’s top finisher was Madison Ibeling who placed third at 115. 

The tournament marked the final event before the holiday break for each team, with competition resuming in January.
