
The Franklin County Board of Supervisors met in regular session on Monday, Dec. 22 at the Franklin County Courthouse.
The board approved awarding the courthouse repointing project to Bi-State Masonry of East Moline, Illinois, which submitted the lowest responsive bid at $948,872. The supervisors also approved the project’s plans, specifications and cost estimates following a public hearing. No public comments were received during the hearing.
The board also approved several infrastructure-related items, including an application from Alliant Energy to perform work in highway right-of-way areas for road radius widening and tower repairs, as well as a right-of-way abandonment request in Section 28 of the county.
In other business, supervisors approved a new compensatory time policy for county employees, authorizing limits on comp time accumulation and outlining payout provisions at the end of each fiscal year.
