U.S. Sen. Joni Ernst, chair of the Senate Small Business Committee, has named Latimer Grocery as her Small Business of the Week, recognizing the business’s impact in Franklin County.
Ernst says the locally owned grocery store has served its neighbors with dedication year after year and continues to set a strong example for hometown businesses in rural Iowa.
In a press release, Ernst notes Latimer Grocery was founded in 2008 to ensure residents of Latimer, Coulter, and surrounding communities had dependable access to groceries. She says the store has since grown into a trusted hub for fresh foods, known for its locally sourced products, popular deli, and seasonal meal deliveries during harvest.
