A white Christmas is not in the forecast for the RadioOnTheGo listening area this year, according to the National Weather Service.

Forecasters say cloudy skies and above-freezing temperatures will dominate through Christmas Day, with highs reaching the mid- to upper 30s. A slight chance of drizzle is expected this afternoon (Dec. 24), followed by patchy dense fog developing tonight and lingering into Christmas Day.

Christmas Day is expected to remain cloudy, with areas of fog possible through the afternoon and a high near 37. Winds will be light out of the northeast, shifting to the east later in the day.

Rain chances increase slightly Thursday night, with a 20 percent chance of showers before midnight and temperatures holding steady in the mid-30s.

Looking ahead, temperatures will trend warmer to end the week. Friday is expected to be partly sunny with a high near 44, followed by mostly cloudy conditions Saturday and highs approaching the upper 40s.

Colder, windy weather returns late in the weekend, with highs falling into the low 20s by Sunday.
