NBC Boys Wrestling concluded 2025 slate at Eagle Grove Tuesday

The North Butler-Clarksville boys wrestling team went 2-1 at a Top of Iowa Conference quad at Eagle Grove to conclude the 2025 half of their season on Tuesday. NBC won 62-18 over Newman Catholic, won 54-30 over Saint Ansgar and lost 42-19 to Eagle Grove.

Against Newman Catholic, NBC won three matches by fall including Jaxon Shew at 120, Peyton Knoll at 165 and Brayden Harms at 285. Evan McCormick won by a technical fall (17-0) at 150. Cain Nielsen won by a decision (11-4) at 132. The Wolves won six bouts by open weight forfeit. 

Against Saint Ansgar, NBC won six matches by fall including Jace Rupe at 113, Aiden Doty at 126, Nielsen at 132, Jack Bartels at 144, Alex Havranek at 165 and McCabe Gansen at 190. The Wolves won three matches by open weight forfeit. 

Against Eagle Grove, Rupe won by fall at 113. Knoll won by major decision (14-6) at 165. Bartels won by decision (7-5) at 144. The Wolves also won a match by an open weight forfeit. 

North Butler-Clarksville enters holiday break and will return to action for a triangular at Charles City on January 6.
