The Aplington-Parkersburg Community School District Board of Education will hold its annual organizational meeting and a regular meeting on Monday, Dec. 29 at Aplington-Parkersburg High School.
The organizational meeting includes review of certified school board election and public measure results, administration of oaths of office to board members, and the election of board officers. Board members will also make annual appointments and designations, including board secretary, business manager, affirmative action/equal opportunity coordinators and homeless and truancy liaison officer.
Following the organizational meeting, the board will move into its regular meeting, where members are expected to consider several financial and operational items. Action items include requests to the School Budget Review Committee for open enrollment out funding and at-risk and dropout prevention funding, approval of a technology support agreement with Central Rivers AEA and multiple facility-related expenditures tied to bond projects.
The meetings are scheduled to begin at 7:30 a.m.
