According to a press report from the Butler County Sheriff’s Office, a 47-year-old Dumont man and a 45-year-old Iowa Falls woman are facing multiple drug-related charges following a traffic stop.
Court records filed with the Butler County Clerk of Court allege a Butler County deputy stopped a Cadillac Escalade around 7:15 p.m. Dec. 26 on Highway 3 in Dumont. During the stop, the deputy reported seeing an object thrown from the vehicle. The driver, Ryan Lee Hauser, later told the deputy the item was a pipe and also indicated there were drugs and paraphernalia inside a safe in the vehicle.
A search of the vehicle reportedly uncovered multiple pipes with residue, marijuana flakes and a white substance suspected to be methamphetamine.
Court documents also allege a passenger, Tasha Elnora McKittrick, told deputies she had drugs and paraphernalia in her possession. Deputies reportedly located marijuana, methamphetamine and several prescription pills.
Hauser is charged with two counts of possession of a controlled substance, third or subsequent offense. McKittrick faces five similar counts. All charges are Class D felonies.
