At the holiday break, there’s a clear leader in the North Central Conference girls basketball standings. At 4-0, #15 (3A) Clear Lake is in the lead. Algona and St. Edmond are each 3-1. The Bulldogs defeated the Gaels on Tuesday, December 16, breaking the tie.
Humboldt and Iowa Falls-Alden are each 2-2, and have not yet played each other. Hampton-Dumont-CAL owns the sixth place tiebreaker over Webster City, each with 1-3 conference records. Clarion-Goldfield-Dows is at the bottom of the standings at 0-4.
#3 (3A) Clear Lake is 2-0 and #1 (1A) St. Edmond is 4-0, leading the boys standings. Clarion-Goldfield-Dows is alone in third place at 2-2, followed by Algona at 1-1. Hampton-Dumont-CAL, Humboldt and Webster City are each 1-2. Iowa Falls-Alden rounds out the standings at 0-3.
