Franklin County Supervisors to meet Tuesday

The Franklin County Board of Supervisors will meet in regular session  Tuesday, Jan. 6.

Secondary Roads Engineer Jay Waddingham is scheduled to present several resolutions, including authorizing the county engineer to execute final acceptance on farm-to-market construction projects, sign for and collect federal disaster relief funds, and close secondary roads in emergency situations. Waddingham will also provide a departmental update.

Old business includes discussion on courthouse project funding.

Under new business, supervisors will consider multiple department head appointments, designation of the Hampton Chronicle as the county’s official newspaper for 2026, issuance of checks during the year, mileage reimbursement rates, and several resolutions related to construction evaluation, drainage district investigations, and appointments to boards and commissions.

The meeting begins at 8:30 a.m. at the Franklin County Courthouse.
