America’s Small Business Development Center Iowa has announced the promotion of Leah Pitts to assistant state director for operations and compliance.
Pitts brings more than five years of experience within the Iowa SBDC network and has held leadership roles in statewide operations, regulatory compliance and performance management. In her new position, she will provide statewide oversight of daily operations while working to improve consistency, compliance and data-driven performance across the network. She will also partner with the state director on policy, planning and statewide initiatives.
Pitts previously served as regulatory data coordinator, where she led statewide reporting and accreditation efforts and helped strengthen data integrity and strategic planning.
America’s SBDC Iowa is an outreach program of Iowa State University and is funded in part through a cooperative agreement with the U.S. Small Business Administration.
