
The Clarksville City Council met in regular session on Monday, January 5.
Mayor Jerald Heuer assigned Council Member David Kelm as Mayor Pro-Tem. Heuer updated the council that the work on Church Street is waiting on estimates and the work on Ilgenfritz Street will be revisited by engineers and workers in the spring. Heuer also stated that he and Council Member Ruth Saulsbury are working on a change to the proposed ordinance related to backyard chickens.
In other business, the council approved Ashley Lorenz, Hayley Miller and Tiffany Landrum as new members to the city’s ambulance crew and approved Layton Reints as a new member of the Clarksville Fire Department.
The council scheduled a budget workshop meeting for January 15 at 5:30 p.m.
