#1 (2A) Clarion-Goldfield-Dows went 2-0 and Hampton-Dumont-CAL was 1-1 at a boys wrestling triangular at Webster City Tuesday. The Cowboys beat the Bulldogs 59-17 and the hosts 65-9. The Bulldogs beat the Lynx 43-24.
Against Webster City, CGD got pins by Cole Wibholm at 106, Angel Cortes Hinojosa at 120, Paxton Redenius at 126, Damon Fouts at 132, Adrian Phetxoumphone at 138 and Ryland Morgan at 175.
The Cowboys had pins against the Bulldogs by Wibholm at 106, Cortes Hinojosa at 120, Adrian Phetxoumphone at 132, Dawson Beyer at 157, Morgan at 175 and JT Kelso at 285. The Bulldogs had pins by Luke Showalter at 144 and Maddon Evans at 215.
HDCAL’s pins against Webster City were by Kinnick Perez at 126 and Jory Angstman at 157. They had technical falls by Brody Strother at 138, Jacob Mahler at 150, Joseph Cruz at 175 and Emmett Elling at 285.
The Bulldogs and Cowboys will each return to action Thursday by hosting triangulars.
