A public meeting focused on cancer trends in Grundy County is scheduled for Thursday, Jan. 15.
The online event is part of the Cancer in Iowa: 99 Counties Project, a statewide public health initiative led by the Iowa Cancer Registry and the University of Iowa College of Public Health. The project shares county-specific cancer data and gathers community input on improving cancer outcomes.
During the meeting, representatives will present the latest information on new cancer cases and cancer-related deaths in Grundy County, along with data on risk factors. Residents will also have an opportunity to ask questions and share concerns or ideas.
The meeting runs from 10 to 11 a.m. Participants may attend online or in person at Grundy County Memorial Hospital in Grundy Center. Registration for both options is available at https://iowacancerconsortium.wildapricot.org/event-6505444.
