The Iowa Falls-Alden basketball teams will host Humboldt in a North Central Conference doubleheader Friday night, which’ll air on KLMJ 104.9 FM.
For the Cadet girls (4-5), the game wraps up a stretch of four games in one week. Head Coach Michael Collison says the busy schedule provides an opportunity to evaluate how the team has responded to adjustments made over the holiday break.
“The big thing at the end of this little stretch here is, did we improve on some of those things that we did put in over the break or that we’ve said we wanted to get better at?” says Collison. “Do we have an early idea of if that’s good for us?”
Elody England is coming off a career-high 27-point performance and leads the Cadets in scoring and assists, while Dani Rieks leads the team in rebounds.
The Wildcat girls (4-4) will look to return to the win column after a loss to St. Edmond on Tuesday. Ava Fischer leads the team in scoring and rebounds, while Kaleigh Vinsand leads in assists.
The Cadet boys (1-7) are aiming to snap a six-game losing streak. Karsen Kalous leads the team in scoring and assists, and Collin Pieper leads in rebounds.
The Wildcat boys are coming off a 61-55 loss on Tuesday to top-ranked Class 1A St. Edmond. Chase Flaherty leads the team in scoring and assists, while Valley Davis leads in rebounds.
Tipoff is scheduled for 6 p.m., with pregame coverage beginning at 5:45 p.m.
