The Iowa Democratic Party has announced locations for the 2026 in-person precinct caucuses, which will take place Monday, February 2nd at 7 p.m. across the state. Party officials say the list of caucus sites is now available online and will continue to be updated as county Democratic organizations finalize their preparations ahead of caucus night.
Iowa Democratic Party Chair Rita Hart says the caucuses are the first chance for Iowans to get involved in what she calls a campaign for change. Hart points to Democratic candidates overperforming in several special elections last year and encourages voters who want new leadership to participate. Along with organizing for the 2026 election cycle, Democrats will also conduct traditional party business at the precinct caucuses. That includes electing delegates and alternate delegates to county conventions, choosing county central committee members, and submitting platform resolutions.
Locally caucus locations include:
- In Butler County, the Allison Library–Community Room in Allison.
- In Franklin County, La Frontera in Hampton.
- In Hardin County, locations include:
- Ellsworth Community College in Iowa Falls.
- South Hardin High School in Eldora.
- Ackley Public Library in Ackley.
- No locations are currently listed for Grundy or Wright counties.
Voters are encouraged to check online, IowaDemocrats.org for updates before caucus night.
