
The West Fork girls wrestling team off a busy tournament weekend will host Hampton-Dumont-CAL, Nevada and Clear Lake for a non-conference quad on Monday.
West Fork went 2-4 at the Allie Morrison Duals in Marshalltown on Saturday. The Warhawks won over BGM and Columbus Catholic, and lost to BCLUW-SH, Marshalltown, Knoxville and Sioux City East. Jenny Ramirez at 145 went undefeated with four falls, a technical fall and a win by forfeit. Josi Janssen at 140 went 5-1 with three falls, a major decision and two wins by forfeit.
Hampton-Dumont-CAL placed fourth at the Trojan Tangle at West Marshall on Saturday. Four Bulldogs earned top three podium finishes at the tournament. Elsie Kuper was the champion at 170, with three wins by fall to the title. Maren Subbert was the champion at 190, with two falls and a win by decision to secure the top finish. Avalon Mulford was the runner-up at 235, with a win by fall and decision. Juliette Koch placed third at 155, with four wins by fall.
Nevada placed 14th at the Trojan Tangle. Allison Houston is 25-5 at 105 and Nicole Wittrig is 23-10 at 110 to lead the Cubs.
Clear Lake finished in ninth place at the Cedar Falls Invite on Saturday. Pieper Lester is 24-3 at 135 and 140 and Kyma Burleson is 22-4 at 170 to lead the Lions.
Action is scheduled to begin at 6:00 p.m. in Sheffield.
