A two-stall garage was destroyed by fire Monday afternoon in rural Franklin County.
According to Franklin County Sheriff Aaron Dodd, deputies received a 911 call at 3:41 p.m. Jan. 12 reporting a garage fire in the 2000 block of 125th Street, about three miles north of Geneva. The caller, who owns the property, reported the garage was on fire.
When deputies and fire crews arrived, the garage was fully engulfed in flames. The structure and its contents were a total loss. Dodd says the garage contained tools and a garden tractor.
The Hansell and Geneva fire departments responded to the scene, along with the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office and Franklin General Ambulance.
No injuries were reported.
