HD-CAL Head Coach Brittany Stevens highlights Bulldog performances that stood out.

“We came out ready today, we stayed in control and we got two wins. Juliette Koch comes out strong with her performances. Elsie Kuper, had a good, strong performance. Clear Lake had some really good girls that are ranked, so we knew it would be tough. Megan Severs put up a good fight against Lester. That was a good match, fun to watch,” says Stevens. “Really, it comes down to every girl. They all come out, they have a job to do. I’m seeing those small improvements, so it’s great.”

West Fork Head Coach Onni Prestidge says it was a great opportunity to showcase the girls’ hard work.

“We had a lot of fun tonight. This is our only event at home this year. It was the only opportunities that our girls got to compete in front of our family, friends and just anybody who’s supported or even those who have never seen girls wrestling before,” says Prestidge. “This was a great opportunity for our girls to show the hard work that they put in. Whether it’s win or lose, they all went out and competed on the mat to represent West Fork.”

This quad was the final competition tune up for the Bulldogs and Warhawks before their respective conference meets. West Fork will compete in the Top of Iowa Conference meet at Osage on Friday. HD-CAL will compete in the North Central Conference meet at Algona on Saturday.
