Franklin County supervisors to review budgets and funding requests Tuesday

The Franklin County Board of Supervisors will spend much of Tuesday focused on budget planning and funding requests during their meeting on Tuesday, Jan. 20. 

The board will begin with a morning budget workshop at 8:30 a.m., hearing departmental budget updates from county offices including the treasurer, auditor, sheriff, recorder, veterans affairs, and conservation.

The board will reconvene at 1 p.m. for its regular meeting, which includes multiple funding requests for the upcoming fiscal year. Requests are scheduled from Crisis Intervention Services, the Franklin County Fair Association, county libraries, the Franklin County Development Association and the Hampton Senior Center.

Supervisors will also consider an Iowa DOT detour agreement tied to a Highway 3 bridge replacement, review a wage study for elected officials, approve drainage items and act on resolutions involving county vehicle policies.
