House Speaker Pat Grassley says House Republicans plan to release their proposal to change Iowa’s residential property tax system later this week.

Senate Republicans and Gov. Kim Reynolds released their plans last week. Reynolds says it is too early to predict which property tax changes could gain majority support in the Legislature.

Senate Republican Leader Mike Klimesh says the Senate proposal would provide long-term property tax relief.

Grassley says the House plan will be easy for taxpayers to understand but declined to share additional details.
