The Wright County Board of Supervisors Monday received a written annual update from Andrea Evelsizer of Healthy Harvest of North Iowa, outlining programs held in 2025 and events planned for 2026. Evelsizer also requested the county consider a $2,500 contribution this year, consistent with support provided by other counties served by the organization.
The board approved rescinding a previous motion that would have combined Emergency Management and the Communications Center into a single levy. Instead, communications will remain under Emergency Management and continue to be funded on a per-capita basis shared between the county and participating cities.
Supervisors reviewed the final report recommending adoption of the 2025 Wright County Comprehensive Plan and will take action on it during their next meeting. The board also approved 28E agreements allowing the county to perform road maintenance within the city limits of Galt and Dows.
