The North Butler-Clarksville and West Fork boys wrestling team will compete in a highly ranked Top of Iowa Conference tournament at Forest City on Saturday. 

Ranked teams in competition field include #4 (1A) Lake Mills, #11 (2A) Osage, #11 (1A) Central Springs and #13 (1A) Nashua-Plainfield.

NBC in their last action won 45-33 over Janesville in a dual on Thursday. Among team leaders, Jaxon Shew is 32-2 at 113. Jack Bartels is 25-12 at 138 and 144. Peyton Knoll is 22-12 at 165. Head Coach Adam Holm shares his message to the team ahead of a tough day of competition.

“Just stay positive and don’t get outside of yourself. Don’t overthink anything. We gave you the preparedness, to get you to the matches that you’re going to face,” says Holm. “We are going to face some great competition. You can beat anybody at any time, just stay positive. That’s the key is just being healthy and positive right now.”

In their last action, West Fork went 1-2 in a home Top of Iowa Conference triangular on Thursday. The Warhawks won against Garner-Hayfield-Ventura and lost to Osage and Central Springs. Jensen Robbins is 15-12 at 215 and 285. Brooks Jones is 7-6 at 138, since returning from injury he has won seven of his last nine matches.

Action will begin at 10:00 a.m. in Forest City.
