First Bank Hampton will host its annual ag outlook meeting Friday, focusing on current issues impacting Iowa agriculture. Guest speakers include Iowa State University economist Chad Hart and State Representative Shannon Latham of Sheffield. The discussion will cover topics ranging from the effects of tariffs to supply and demand trends for Iowa’s major crops.
First Bank Hampton has hosted this annual meeting for over a decade and Tom Abbas, Assistant Vice President at First Bank Hampton, tells RadioOnTheGo News the annual meeting is designed to help customers stay informed and prepare for the year ahead in agriculture.
“It was just a way to give something for our customers to come and Chad’s a well-respected ag economist, kind of help our customers with their marketing, give them some more tools to use in their their operation. (and again) Help with marketing which is a big part of the operation to remain profitable.”
