Konfrst has endorsed fellow Democrat Sarah Trone Garriott in the race to challenge Republican U.S. Rep. Zach Nunn in the general election.
In northeast Iowa, Republican Shannon Lundgren of Peosta announced she will seek reelection to the Iowa House rather than run for Iowa’s 2nd Congressional District seat in the U.S. House of Representatives.
Meanwhile, Democrat Taylor Wettach, a Muscatine attorney, announced he is running for state auditor. Wettach had previously been a candidate for Congress in the district currently represented by Republican U.S. Rep. Mariannette Miller-Meeks.
