The AP/GC boys wrestling team went 1-1 and AGWSR went 0-2 at a triangular hosted by the Cougars Tuesday.
AP/GC beat AGWSR 70-10. The Falcons had pins by Zion Uhlenhopp at 120, Brayden Jara at 126, Josh Elsberry at 138, Devan Eberhart at 144, Cooper Keller at 165, Parker Mulder at 175 and Mason Pruisner at 190. AGWSR’s wins were a pin by Gage Van Loh at 285 and a major decision by Jariyah Bowles at 150.
The Falcons fell to #19 (2A) Denver 46-34, where the Cyclones avenged an earlier loss. Leo Block at 106, Uhlenhopp at 120 and Mulder at 175 each got pins. Gage Miller at 150 and Emerick Nolte at 157 each won by technical superiority.
AGWSR fell to Denver 65-11. Bowles won a technical fall at 150, and the remaining six points were due to a Denver forfeit.
