The Hardin County Board of Supervisors approved multiple administrative actions and budget items during its meeting Wednesday, Jan. 28, in Eldora.
Supervisors authorized Rex Crosser as the Public Health Inspector for Hardin County Solid Waste. The board also closed a public hearing on fiscal year 2025-26 budget amendments and approved an appropriations resolution amendment.
The resolution included funding adjustments for juvenile detention costs, foster care services, sheriff’s office radio equipment, and the release of more than $267,000 in ARPA funds for the Iowa River Bike Trail project.
Supervisors also directed County Engineer Taylor Roll to study a proposed one-way parking lot north of the Hardin County Jail, tied to Eldora’s plan to remove on-street parking along Highway 175 to improve traffic flow.
