60s at Six Moves to 99 The Wave Beginning April 1
Hampton, Iowa – OnTheGoMedia announced today that “60s at 6”, a popular daily throwback hour that has aired on 104.9 KLMJ for more than thirty years, will move to its Yacht Rock and Classic Hits station, 99 The Wave, beginning April 1. The move places 60s at 6 on a station whose music blend and audience align naturally with the iconic sounds of the 1960s, while allowing KLMJ to maintain a sharp and consistent classic rock lineup beginning at 3 p.m. throughout the evening.
“We’re focused on creating content that truly resonates with our listeners while continuing to grow our radio brands,” said Shawn Dietz, President and General Manager of OnTheGoMedia. “This change allows us to keep the music library on KLMJ sharp and focused, while inviting 60s at 6 listeners to experience everything 99 The Wave has to offer. Listeners can also expect a familiar voice to remain part of the experience. Colt Powers, who hosts KLMJ’s midday show and has also hosted 60s at 6 for the past two years, will continue to host the feature following its move to 99 The Wave.
