The Clarion-Goldfield-Dows Community School District has announced new leadership at the elementary and middle school levels for the 2026-27 school year following changes to its administrative structure.
The district previously operated under a combined elementary and middle school principal model. Concerns about communication and workload were raised during a school board meeting in November. At the board’s December meeting, Superintendent Joe Nelson shared feedback from staff and survey results showing support for separating the positions. The board later approved the creation of two principal roles.
The district has named Jessica Kruckenberg as elementary principal and Brian Williams as middle school principal. Pending board approval, both will begin their new roles July 1.
Kruckenberg currently serves as elementary assistant principal at Nederland Elementary in Colorado in the Boulder Valley School District. She previously served as an elementary principal in Fort Dodge and worked in the Waterloo Community School District.
Williams currently serves as principal of Oak Hill Elementary in the Clear Creek Amana Community School District and has previous experience with Grant Wood AEA and Gladbrook-Reinbeck schools.
The district worked with Grundmeyer Leader Services to conduct the search.
