The Iowa Falls School Board is set to meet Tuesday to review updates from the current legislative session.
Board members will monitor proposals including state funding increases, currently recommended at 2% by the governor and 1.75% in the Senate, as well as property tax bills that could impact school budgets.
Other items include potential changes to SAVE bond requirements, a recurring bill that would require administrators to teach classes periodically, and proposals to move school elections to even-numbered years.
Under new business, the board will review the fiscal year 2027 budget timeline and will consider setting the date and time for public hearings on the budget.
The Iowa Falls School Board meets Tuesday at 3:30 p.m. at the Rock Run Elementary library.
