A local champion was crowned Friday at the IGHSAU Wrestling State Tournament.
AP/GC senior Grace Storjohann capped off a remarkable high school wrestling career by winning the Class 1A 125-pound championship Friday night inside Xtream Arena.
It was the first title in AP/GC girls history.
Four locals had their tournaments come to a close in Friday’s medal round, including:
Ceanna White, BCLUW-SH: 6th at 140
Taya Hollingsworth, BCLUW-SH – 6th at 155
Zoey Uhlenhopp, AP/GC – 8th at 155
Maren Subbert, Hampton-Dumont-CAL – 4th at 190
