#7 (2A) Aplington-Parkersburg will travel to Hampton-Dumont-CAL for a non-conference boys basketball game Thursday, which’ll air on 99 The Wave and RadioOnTheGo’s YouTube channel.

It’ll be the regular season finale for the Falcons, which enter on an eight-game win streak. Head Coach Aaron Thomas says it’ll be a good test before postseason play begins.

“I know Brady Harr has caused all kinds of problems over the last year just with his size,” Thomas says. “We’ve just got to continue to play fast and defend and rebound, that’s going to be extremely important. One day to prep, work hard, play hard Thursday, take Friday, Saturday, Sunday off and then get ready for the postseason.”

Hampton-Dumont-CAL is coming off Tuesday’s 71-61 win over Clarion-Goldfield-Dows, which featured 29 points and 17 rebounds by Brady Harr. Head Coach Matt Lokenvitz says he looks forward to the final stretch of the regular season against two ranked teams, with a visit to #7 (3A) Clear Lake happening on Friday.

“They’re a good team, and we’re going to have to show up ready to play that one,” Lokenvitz says. “I’m excited to see where we’re at with these top-tier teams, win lose whatever. I just want to see where we’re at going into our postseason to see kind of where we’re going to get seeded and whatnot. I think we can play with and beat just about anybody. So I’m not nervous about where we’re going to be seeded. I just want to see where our team is at when we get to other top tier teams.”

Pregame coverage will start at 7:15 p.m., followed by the tipoff at 7:30.
